Umngazi is just so special. Friendly hospitality, great service in a peaceful and tranquil environment.
What more could one want? Fruit juice, porridge, cereal selection, fresh and preserved fruit, nuts and seeds, cold meats, eggs to order with four or five hot accompliments. A selection of pastries, jams, marmalades and honey. Tea and coffee. All well prepared and displayed and above all delicious.
At Umngazi the only time you need to lift a finger is when you have a glass or a knife and fork in hand. Everything is done for you in a friendly and efficient manner. Umngazi is a true holiday experience.
Lighter meals are served at lunch. Soup, salads, cold meats and hot snack type foods followed by two deserts. Menu changed daily. Most enjoyable.
The first thing we did each evening was photograph the menu and share it with friends and family and then read their envious views. Soups, starter, salad bar, choice of three mains and a vegetarian dish, two deserts, cheese board, tea and coffee. Every meal was a delight to the taste buds and the highlight of a beautiful day. The wine list is extensive and should be studied well in advance of your first dinner at Umngazi. We were privileged to enjoy wines from Bartinney. A real treat.
Served shortly after lunch we did not partake daily. A ever changing selection of cakes and biscuits were served daily. Scrumptious.
