TRIPADVISOR - Lieze H - 7 Oct 2019 - - - feedback on Umngazi River Bungalows - - - Beautiful setting, just a pity that myself, my daughter and my husband fell quite ill on the second day we were at Umngazi. We must have picked up a bug there, worried that it might be a water issue. it is now a week after we have left and I am still not well. The SPA was magnificent, staff excellent and such a beautiful, natural experience, loved it that there was no music, only the crashing waves of the ocean in the background. (http://bit.ly/33ibrbz)

Thank you for your review of your stay at Umngazi. We are pleased that you found the setting beautiful and enjoyed our beautiful spa. We are however very disappointed and concerned to hear that you didn't feel well on your second day. Our tap water is filtered and treated on site. Staff and guests drink our tap water without any issues but we do provide complimentary bottled drinking water in jugs at meal times and at the bar. Bottled water is also available for sale should anyone prefer to take to their rooms. Umngazi also provides hand sanitation at meal times and we encourage guests to make use of this facility to avoid any inter contamination between diners. We sincerely hope that you are back to full health and hope to welcome you back again soon.
