FACEBOOK - Phanky Pascaline Makofane - 17 Mar 2020 - - - My friends and I from different provinces are planning a ladies weekend away, and Umgazi hotel & spa was top on the list as our destination.. The ladies sent me to go view the place... I drove all the way from East London just to be turned away at gate the because they don't allow entry without paid bookings. They don't have day visit therefore you need to book for something you see only on pics. That is very disappointing and unprofessional. Dear Phanky We are very sorry that you drove all the way from East London without making a prior appointment with us. Please note that for security reasons and the exclusivity of our in house guests we unfortunately don’t do day visitor trips. We were becoming inundated with day visitor requests and people merely requesting to view the property. This was impacting negatively on the privacy and experience of our valued guests in house. Furthermore, none of these site visits ever amounted to any bookings. I did offer to come and meet with you personally at the gate but when I got there, within five minutes of your call, you had unfortunately already left. We would very much like to welcome you and your friends at Umngazi to stay over with us and hope we can make this a reality. Our guest reviews are testimony to the wonderful time our guests have when visiting us. We look forward to hearing from you
