1 How would you rate your overall experience?

TRIPADVISOR - aviwemafanya - 12 Oct 2020 - - - LIGHTS OFF AND NO WIFI - - - Good day We were not happy about the lights being switched off at night, I can't sleep in the dark, and there was no Wifi Connection all weekend. It would have been nicer if we were informed about these two issues before we got there, but we only learnt about this when we checked in. (https://bit.ly/33UqefK)

Dear Aviwe Thank you for your feedback. We unfortunately experienced an Eskom electricity supply outage in the entire area for a number of days while you were with us. Umngazi has standby generators that provide electricity to the whole hotel in these instances. However due to the the supply problem running for days it was decided to switch the generator off once all guests had retired to bed to be switched back on early the following morning. This fault was unannounced to us and the cellphone towers in the area eventually lost power too, hence the internet feed going down. This is unfortunately out of our control as was the power outage. We appreciate your feedback as we did endeavor to personally communicate the situation with guests during their stay. We hope to welcome you back at Umngazi soon. Wild Coast greetings from us all
