1 How would you rate your overall experience?

TRIPADVISOR - Janine G - 15 Nov 2020 - - - Piece of paradise... - - - This was our first visit to Umngazi, but it won't be the last... the resort is bigger than we thought it was, but you don't notice this as the facilities are so well set out. We went as a couple, which was amazing but this is an excellent place for families and travelling with friends - activities to keep the young ones busy each day while you relax at the pool! The property is so well located at the river mouth, with easy access to the beach by a short boat taxi. The staff are so friendly and the grounds are excellently kept! The food was really good, we even opted for a picnic basket one lunch to take to the beach to enjoy which was great! Overall though, it was an absolutely memorable stay and out room was perfectly located! We had such fun and we will be back again - with friends and family! (https://tinyurl.com/y6dmkz63)

After the beautiful rains that we had last week, our gardens are so lush and green - thank you for noticing the excellent job that our garden team does on a daily basis. How awesome to hear about your great picnic! Umngazi is located in one of the most beautiful parts of South Africa and you feel as if the entire beach belongs to you alone. 2 How satisfied were you with your stay at Umngazi?

Not a criticism, but I think it would be a nice addition to make the round deck area (add on to Basil's Bar) a small a la carte option for either breakfast or lunch for those who would prefer to change it up. I am personally not the biggest fan of buffet style, so to have another option would be amazing. This is such a stunning setting that we found wasn't as used as it could be.
