TRIPADVISOR - Michelle V - 22 Nov 2020 - - - Magical Place - - - Are spending our honeymoon at Umngazi 14 years ago, we decided that it's about time to visit this magical place again after a dreadful COVID 19 year. Umngazi lived up to all my high expectations and we had a fantastic weeks stay. Friendly staff, wonderful meals and beautiful bungalows. Even though we had 3 days of rain during our stay, it did not dampen the spirits at all and it was spectacular to experience the mouth opening. Dear Michelle Thank you so much for your wonderful 5 star review of our special Umngazi. We are so happy that we could bring some magic back into your lives after an awful year. It is simply amazing to experience the opening of the river mouth - one moment we had parts of the walkway flooded and the next moment an almost empty river. Just such a spectacular sight. Even when the weather is not great, Umngazi is certainly the perfect place to relax, sit in front of the fire and enjoy a glass of vino.
