BOOKING.COM - JM - 16 Mar 2021 - - - A wonderful holiday destination but a long way from Cape Town. - - - LIKED: A fantastic resort, but a long way to travel and the last 11km on a bad gravel road. The room was lovely and in a great position for the other amenities and for the sunset. The staff are well trained and attentive. The food is very good and plentiful with breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner all included. Ferry over the river to the beach as and when needed, kayaks and other toys to hire. DISLIKED: Nothing. Dear Guest We are very grateful for your wonderful review of Umngazi. Thank you for mentioning different areas of the resort and activities available. Cape Town is definitely a long way from Umngazi - you used to be able to fly to Mthatha from Cape Town with Airlink, but unfortunately this flight has been discontinued.
