BOOKING.COM - Paige - 04 Sep 2021 - - - Honeymoon Bliss - - - Gorgeous sea and estuary views, really run activities like boat lunches, very luxurious couple spa. The dining and lounge areas offer lots of spaces to sit. Food is really tasty and they're good long island ice teas. They're situated in the most beautiful surrounds Disliked · The fire place's smoke control could be improved..the only way to keep warm in the winter is to light fires but when we did it smoked the room out terribly. Not pleasant! Some staff were very friendly but others were not. The shop has very limited variety and is very expensive. (https://tinyurl.com/s6uud468).

Umngazi really is the perfect place to celebrate your honeymoon and as you say, we are definitely situated in one of the most beautiful parts of South Africa. There are so many activities available should you be seeking adventure, but peace and relaxation is at the forefront, especially at our beautiful spa. I sincerely apologize that your "fireplace" experience was not that great and will do our best to make sure that it is improved immediately. Umngazi is specifically known for the friendly Pondo staff and we are sorry to hear that you found some of the staff to be unfriendly. Respect is such an important part of their culture, especially towards guests, and I can assure you that there is never any intention from them to be unfriendly. Being situated where we are, we receive so many compliments and feedback from other guests about how good our prices are all around. It's a pity that you found the shop to be expensive as we stock a big variety of affordable items to ensure that all our guests are catered for. We always appreciate constructive feedback and thank you once again for taking the time to review Umngazi. We look forward to welcoming you back to our little piece of paradise in the future.
