TRIP ADVISOR - Glenn A - 9 Sep - - - Honeymoon at Umngazi - - - Umgazi is a beautiful destination and has everything you want from a honeymoon. There is a private pool area for anyone who stays in a Suite so you can escape the kids madness by the main pool and communal areas but you can go join the bar for some fun when you want. The Spa is excellent and sipping on Champers while in the jet bath over looking the coast is very hard to beat. The food is also excellent and you can request private meals (for a fee) in two very romantic areas. Green Door was my favorite as it was dark by the time we made it to the waterfront gazebo. The only thing I would improve on is the arrival for honeymooners as you don't get much of a special welcome by reception staff and they aren't very informative about your stay or the activities on offer (hikes etc). We appreciate you mentioning our Emlonyeni lounge and pool area, our Spa as well as Gazebo and Greendoor venues. Everything that you need for a perfect honeymoon including the most spectacular views of the Umngazi river and the beautiful ocean. We sincerely apologize if we did not make you feel special upon your check in at reception. We can assure you that it is never our intention and every receptionist strives to make all our guests feel special and welcome. We apologize if you felt that the receptionists were not very informative. We have so many activities to offer and thus the reason for the little info brochure that we hand out to all guests upon arrival. Our interactive screen in reception also offers so much information on all activities and general info. We do hope to welcome you and your wife back to our little piece of paradise in the near future. Sending warm Umngazi greetings from our team.
