Dear Radwaan. Thank you for your feedback following your stay with us at Umngazi. We are delighted that you rate our destination as beautiful. Many roads in our beautiful country, especially in remote areas, provide us with some challenges and the Eastern Cape roads are no exception. We advise guests to take their time and enjoy the road-trip at ease to take in the beautiful scenery. The Wild Coast toll road will be a welcome relief, a reality of which should be with us in the not too distant future. As a business and with the support of our community leaders, we have communicated at length with the responsible authorities pertaining to the 10km public access road to Umngazi. The gravel sections have recently been resurfaced by the department of public works and they are currently in the process of filling the potholes effectively on the tar sections. They're doing a great job! Small sedans use the road daily and driven slowly won't pose a problem, taking approximately twenty minutes to traverse. A 4 x 4 is not required.
Umngazi prides itself in that we cater for all special dietary requirements. Our previous reviews are testimony to the fact and we apologise profusely that we appear to have been found wanting in this regard during your stay as that is certainly not our intention. Being remote, we do appeal to guests to please inform us prior to visiting so that we can plan these meals accordingly. We always have delicious vegetarian options available on our menus.
