TRIP ADVISOR - Riaan P - 05 Feb 2022 - - - Umngazi River Bungalows: Bad Roads make future visits questionable - - -Umngazi River Bungalows are still top-notch! The location, friendly staff, variety of offerings, food, programme and activities makes this a choice destination. Unfortunately the road into the resort is now so dilapidated that we will not visit again with our sedan before it is totally repaired. The booking administration and accounting system needs managerial oversight as it is confusing.

Dear Riaan. Thank you for your top-notch review of your experience with us at Umngazi. We are delighted that you thoroughly enjoyed every aspect that a visit to us offers. We're sorry to hear that you found the short 10km road to us so bad. The gravel sections were fully resurfaced last year. The few tar sections do have potholes and sadly that is a reality on many secondary roads in our country but traversed slowly, they can be circumnavigated without too much effort. The department of roads is in the process of filling them professionally and if they take their time doing so, we fill them with gravel. Residents in the area traverse the road daily in normal sedans. We make use of a professional booking and accounting system. We'd like to reach out to you as to any issue you may have had. We do hope to welcome you back to enjoy another "top-notch" stay at Umngazi. Wild Coast greetings from the team.
