1 How would you rate your overall experience?

TRIP ADVISOR - Laws888 - 17 March 2022 - - - Back after trying to get in for 25 years - - - "A very special holiday, so many unusual things for children to do from catching crabs on the beach, sliding down the dunes, numerous water activités. Umngazi is famous for its nannies so parents can take a break and gillies (who fish for you) but most important is the food. Three fine dining but wholesome family meals plus two teas in between… Their aim seems to be to keep guests happy. Lots to do here, ferry trips to the beach, birding, hiking, cruises down the river in a very unique setting. BUT, annoying that there is no WiFi throughout the hotel and cellphone reception is intermittent. The roads to paradise are awful, full of bumps and humps and potholes. Consider flying in."

Thank you for your very special review of your stay with us at Umngazi. We appreciate you taking the time to do so and are delighted that you enjoyed everything Umngazi has to offer. You're spot on, it is our absolute intention to satisfy our guests on every level. Umngazi offers complimentary wifi in public areas, unfortunately there was an area outage during your stay that is beyond our control. Vodacom, our service provider, does endeavour to resolve these as speedily as humanly possible in these remote areas and we communicate with them immediately in the event of an outage. Although the 10km public road to the hotel was resurfaced last year, a summer season of high rainfall has contributed to parts of it been potholed. We continue to liaise with the responsible authorities to maintain the road. The communities use it daily and traversed slowly the potholes can easily be avoided but we agree, it does slightly delay your arrival at paradise which we fully understand can be frustrating. We hope to welcome you back again and wish you well from the Umngazi team.
