1 How would you rate your overall experience?

TRIP ADVISOR - Brenwade1 - 21 June 2022 - Wonderful setting and amazing suites - - - "We spent 5 nights here, and it was our first time. The Nambiti suite we were upgraded to, was brilliant. Cleverly thought out and lots of great design flair. This is a family hotel first and foremost, we were two couples travelling together and sometimes the family focus was a bit jarring. The casual homophobia we experienced on our last night by some other guests, didn't help either. All meals are included in the rate, and this is one area that could be improved. More fresh fruit and just better overall execution would make a difference. The river cruise is recommended. The spa is wonderfully situated, the treatment rooms could do with a good clean though, and some maintenance. A good holiday overall, would return."

We are delighted to hear that you that you enjoyed the wonderful setting and the amazing Ntabeni suites. These 2 suites offer absolute privacy with the best views of the river mouth, beach and ocean. We are happy that we could upgrade you during your stay. Umngazi prides itself on not only being a family resort but also caters for couples and honeymooners. We apologise if you felt that the family focus was a bit jarring. We receive fresh produce from our supplier twice a week (depending on availability) and also purchase fresh produce from the local villagers 3 times a week. We offer buffet meals at both breakfast and lunch and a Table d'hote menu at dinner. We appreciate you feedback regarding a better overall execution of our meals and will also share this with our Kitchen team. We will pay more attention to the cleanliness of our Spa treatment rooms. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We hope we have the honour of welcoming you back to Umngazi in the near future and sending warm Pondo greetings from the team.
