External Review's Review of Umngazi Hotel And Spa

1 How would you rate your overall experience?

TRIP ADVISOR - 119darleneh - 15 August 2022 - - - One week at Umngazi - - - "An incredible venue. A proper holiday! A large negative is the trip to get there - the R61 road is active with goats, cattle, donkey, pigs, horses and Africanus dogs. This together wiht the very winding road made for stressful travelling. We had to go through Flagstaff and Lusikisiki - not pleasant. The main road in Flagstaff is laden with people and cars all stopping - theft from vehicles is rife. I want to go to Umgazi again but it would need ot be a fly in to Port St JOhns."

Umngazi Hotel And Spa
Dear Darleneh. Thank you for your full house rating of your stay with us at Umngazi. We are very pleased that you rated it incredible and a proper holiday. We're sorry you found the trip not to your liking. We're well informed that the N2 toll road will be open in the not-too-distant future which will traverse from Port Edward to the R61 close to Port St John's. This will totally revolutionise the trip. Please make use of the bypass to avoid the centre of Flagstaff. Although this town can be congested at times, we've never been made aware of any incidents there that can sadly occur in any town in our country. We appeal to guests to take it easy and enjoy the drive through the beautiful rural countryside. It simply should not be driven in haste. Umngazi does offer weekly fly-in packages from Durban. It is a stunningly beautiful flight down the Wild Coast. We hope to welcome you back on one of those. Wishing you friendly blessings from the Umngazi family.
