BOOKING.COM - Ashaad - 23 August 2022 - - - "great stay at Umngazi but could do with some improvements The location of the hotel was great. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Very friendly staff and they had made the stay pleasurable. The cold temperature in the rooms. There are no aircons in the rooms and with the large gap under the door, we had a cold breeze blowing through the chalet. We ended up putting towels at the bottom of the door. There were some plumbing problems with a blocked drain and a leaking shower on the patio. The food was average and not much of a variety. for the cost of the full board venue, greater variety of dishes would be better. Some suggestions were made to the catering staff on vegetarian options on days that we were vegetarian. This being a seaside venue, one expects more seafood options and seafood dishes."

Umngazi prides itself in offering tasty meals as well as variety for all dietary requirements. We've had many vegetarians mention that they have experienced the best week of varied vegetarian meals ever, during their stay with us. Please note that our evening meals are table d'hote with an extensive salad buffet, lovely homemade soup served with freshly baked bread, a starter, a selection of two mains as well as a vegetarian option. A desert station and cheese and biscuits board are beautifully presented to finish off a lovely evening of dining. Our extensive wine list is very well priced and caters for all pallets. Inclusive stay restaurants are not ala carte. Umngazi also prides itself in having a very well-maintained property and grounds. We apologise profusely for any issue that we should have picked up during room checks prior to arrival but are pleased we could resolve them quickly.
