TRIP ADVISOR - Teambear2014 - 20 November 2022 - - - An idyllic place off the beaten track - - - "My husband and I recently stayed here for our wedding anniversary. We booked the Ntabeni suite, and I am so glad that we did. The room is large, separate from the rest of the resort, had amazing views, and gave us access to an adults only swimming pool. The resort is on the river, with sea views, and there is lots to do. We had one day at the pool, one day on the beach, we did the guided Mangrove forest hike, we had a couples massage at the spa. I would highly recommend doing one of the hikes as the views are just spectacular. The spa treatment was a dream, we thoroughly enjoyed it. Everyday there is breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. We ate every dinner in the main dining room, although there is an option to pay more and have a special dinner. We were very impressed by all of the food, especially the dinners. There is a reason why almost every review on here mentions the food. We were not here with any children, but it seems like the perfect place for families with children from what we witnessed. We loved our room, but be forewarned that if you book the Ntabeni suite, it is a very steep long walk to get back to your room from the main dining area. Best be prepared to work those calf muscles. This is definitely a place we want to return to in the future, it is just quite a long journey from Johannesburg."
