TRIP ADVISOR - James Lindsay - 4 June 2023 - - - Lindsay - - - "Hike was brilliant. Food excellent. Fish eagle on sunset cruise was incredible. Kudos Patrick. Will definitely comeback for more just need better power to the resort.. that’s really the only problem when it comes to this resort"

Dear James. Thank you for your lovely feedback following your stay at Umngazi. We're delighted that you enjoyed what our chefs so passionately prepare as well as our activities on offer. Patrick will be most pleased with your accolades. Umngazi has standby generators that come on automatically and feed the entire hotel during loadshedding or an Eskom outage. Unfortunately during your stay we had a two week Eskom outage and our generators were running 24/7 so we needed to switch them off to rest them. We communicated this with our guests and tried and do this at a time when it would least impact them and operations. We appreciate your understanding and are thrilled that you'd like to return.
