TRIP ADVISOR - Meryl C - October 2023 - - - Umngazi. - - - "I was so impressed with the whole experience of my holiday at Umngazi. From being taken in by what the website offered when I was searching the internet for places to stay on South Africa’s Wild Coast. Super website with lots of information and lovely virtual tours of the accommodation on offer. It was a breeze contacting the reception staff and making the booking by e-mail. All contacts were so helpful. Paying from Scotland on-line worked well with no worries as to if the money had gone through or not. Then the holiday itself, the road accessing Umngazi was not as bad as we thought it was going to be, so were pleasantly surprised by that. Reception staff were very welcoming and informative, Emlonyeni lodge was beautiful, set looking over the Indian ocean and lagoon. Peaceful with everything one could want, Large bed so comfortable, lovely spacious bath room and great outside shower. Deck with chairs and loungers to sit and watch the ocean and bird life. Food terrific and loved having breakfast at the special lodge for those with Emlonyeni lodges. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. We so enjoyed our walk with Albert to the mangrove. He is so knowledgable and shared this knowledge of the birds and the area with us. The young lads who helped us with keeping our kayaks on course through the mangrove were expert paddlers. Thanks to all and would highly recommend a holiday at Umngazi."
