It is a small quiet paradise, but it is quite difficult to reach. The breakfast is great with a huge selection of delicious food. The lady at the front desk was unfriendly at rudeness. The pool was cleaned around 8:00 clock and the staff wanted to drive me out of the water, but there was no evidence. The bungalow was very simple and quite worn. Thank you for taking time to rate your stay with us at Umngazi. We are pleased that you found our location fantastic and enjoyed your visit, especially what our chefs provide. Our friendly staff are from the local Pondo community who are of the friendliest people I have had the privilege to call my colleagues. I can only imagine that the possibility of a language difference maybe construed as possibly being unfriendly when not totally understood. I can guarantee that they do not intend to be. The pool is cleaned first thing in the morning when the staff come on duty at 06h00 and is available for guests throughout the day. We do offer our valued guests pool towels for a small fee and returnable deposit. Umngazi is an understated family beach resort and we pride ourselves in the quality of our facilities. We recently underwent an extensive refurbishment and continually strive to improve and maintain our product and offer it at market related prices. Our guest feedback is testimony to this. We hope to welcome you back at Umngazi again at what guests refer to paradise on the real Wild Coast.
