TRIPADVISOR - Sian M - 18 Nov 2019 - - - Best Holiday Ever - - - My then boyfriend (now Fiancé) and I went over my brthday. He had been to Umngazi a few times as a kid, I had never been. It was truly an amazing holiday. We had chosen a 5 night package that included a gazebo dinner that we had on the night of my birthday, which ended up working out really well because Joe proposed earlier that day so we used that dinner as our private celebration dinner. The food was exquisite. And the Gazebo was lovely. The food in general was always top notch and the fact that the chef, Nico, came out every evening and some mornings and afternoons, to check on all the guests while they were eating was an extra special touch. Our room was amazing, we had a sea view room. It was kept clean daily. The bed was so comfy, so we both slept really well. The skylight in the room helped wake us up in time for breakfast so we didn't need to set any alarms. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. Every single staff member we came into contact with always had a smile on their face and greeted us warmly. Umngazi is a holiday destination to remember that will never disappoint.
