Tucked away on the Wild Coast, in the heart of Pondoland, and encompassed by rocky coastline, indigenous forests, secluded coves and breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean, lies the award winning Umngazi Hotel & Spa. The thatch-roofed bungalows are situated amongst the indigenous gardens which provide the perfect setting for totally relaxed holiday. Weekly fly-in packages are available Friday to Friday from Virginia, Durban where you fly at 500 feet above sea level along the beautiful coastline – a wonderful way to start your holiday.

From the moment we stepped on the property the treatment we received was exceptional. The facilities and the food were top notch. We can’t thank everyone enough for a fantastic end to our SA vacation.

Umngazi was always a bucket list stay. Well we did it! Amazing location, friendly people, great food. The spa should be visited (do the couples massage with the bottle of bubbly included)

Best Family Holiday Ever
I’ve travelled a lot and been fortunate enough to see some incredible places around the world, but Umngazi truly stands out. It’s honestly one of the best destinations I’ve ever visited. The beauty, tranquility, and overall experience give Seychelles, Mauritius, Bali, and even Thailand a real run for their money.
From the stunning scenery to the warm hospitality and unique charm, Umngazi offers something truly special. It’s the kind of place that stays with you long after you’ve left. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Beautiful and peaceful
Thoroughly enjoyed the stay at umgazi offering peaceful mornings, beautiful scenery, exciting hikes and absolutely divine cuisine. Service was excellent and rooms were clean and tidy. Will definitely be visiting again

Umgazi Hotel and Spa
The best getaway. Too beautiful. Natures admires and adventures. Perfect romantic getaway yet perfect for family A one-stop-shop. Easy to drive there, we drove from Johannesburg, the roads were good.
Ocean Views- The best, lovey landscape with a dash of cattle beauty. My room was best with a fireplace. The food was super great. Spa treatments and the boat rides. GOD Resides in UMNGAZI

MAGNIFICANT STAY IN PARADISE
One of the most amazing stays at an incredible destination we have ever experienced. The setting is spectacular, the staff are warm and friendly, the food is amazing and the whole experience is absolutely breathtaking.
